News, photos & events News Saturday 29th May 2004 The second UK Blade Fighters Guild seminar took place in Exeter. Professor Thomas Sotis led a five hour intense session ocvering many aspects of the blade. Paul, TKTA instructor, and one of his students, Colin Mercer, were honoured not only to take part but also to train one to one with Professor Sotis. This was a humbling experience feeling the control Professor Sotis had over opponents. The day was rounded off nicely with a BBQ. All are eagearly awaiting the next opportunity to train with such a knowledgeable and skilled master. Sunday 30th May 2004 The junior brown and black belts graded today. Each has a unique style which was recently highlighted whilst reviewing old video footage. Although they are getting older and more experienced you can see similar characteristics that remain constant. The grading was on the whole very good with all taking part achieving their next grade. It is very difficult at times to single out any one individual but the TKTA Scholarship was awarded to Junior Black Belt Luke Dennett. Luke is rapidly approaching his senior black belt test and well on track for achieving this status. He regularly attends the senior classes showing his skill against adult students. For beginners the first class is always free Photos
